Abstract
A digital to analogue (D to A) converter comprises a charge transfer device capable of receiving simultaneously N parallel bits from an N bit binary coded word in input store locations (M). The binary state of the N bits (4) determines whether or not weighted charges (C) are transferred along the device in the direction of arrow (T). At a unique output the charges (C) transferred through the device in accordance with the binary state of the input word (e), are applied to an integrator (2) for subsequent output as an analogue voltage (Vs).
