Abstract

Le procédé selon l'invention comporte l'irradiation cyclique de la formation 10 par une source de neutrons 13, la détection des neutrons thermiques au moyen d'un détecteur 15 et des neutrons épithermiques au moyen d'un détecteur 14, ces neutrons résu tant de l'irradiation de la formation, le comptage par des compteurs 41 et 42 des neutrons thermiques et épithermiques détectés pendant chaque cycle de fonctionnement, et la comparaison des comptes de neutrons thermiques et épithermiques pour obtenir une indication représentant la concentration de l'uranium dans la formation.
