a. L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de chlore et de carbonate de sodium monohydraté. b. On électrolyse une solution aqueuse de chlorure de sodium dans une cellule à membrane à perméabilité sélective, on carbonate le catholyte in situ dans la cellule, on évapore la solution carbonatée résultante pour séparer du carbonate de sodium monohydraté et une eau mère, on bicarbonate l'eau mère et on la recycle dans la chambre cathodique de la cellule. c. L'invention s'applique notamment à la production de carbonate de sodium anhydre dense, à partir de carbonate de sodium monohydraté.
