Abstract

L'invention décrit les réactifs et le mode opératoire d'un essai immunologique de détermination de la thymopoïétine, hormone polypeptidique du thymus. On prepare un anticorps spécifique de la thymopoïétine en inoculant à un hôte animal un antigène obtenu par fixation de la thypopoïétine sur une matière immunogène de support. Le sérum collecté de cet animal est un anticorps que l'on utilisera dans l'essai immunologique. Cet essai peut servir à déterminer les taux de l'hormone dans des fluides biologiques (plasma ou sérum), pour un diagnostic ou pour suivre le traitement de la myasthénie grave (taux éleves) ou de maladies comme l'arthrite rhumatoïde, du lupus érythémateux, une allergie, un cancer ou de la malnutrition (taux réduits).
