Abstract
The dc rotating machine may also operate with single-phase ac and consists of a pot-shaped stator (22) carrying a toroidal coil (15) at its open end and the bearing for the coaxial coil (15) at its open end and the bearing for the coaxial rotating shaft (23) at its closed end. The rotor (12) is also pot-shaped but smaller and is fixed to the end of the shaft facing the toroidal coil -- i. e. outside the open end of the stator. The stator has an axial tube (19) covering the shaft and fixed at one end to the closed end of the stator. A magnetic flux is induced in this tube by a permanent magnet (for dc) or by a coil.
