Abstract

Dispositif numérique de traitement de signaux, par exemple un filtre numérique pour calculer des échantillons de signal de sortie dont chacun est égal à la somme de produits de plusieurs paires (jeu N) d'échantillons de signal d'entrée. Un des échantillons de la paire est formé par un échantillon x(n) d'un signal numérique à filtrer, l'autre étant formé par un coefficient de filtre z(n), alors que par exemple x(n) respectivement z(n) n'est à même d'acquérir qu'un nombre limité de valeurs O, +- Ap (p de 1 à M avec M < N). Dans ce cas, z(n) est d'abord multiplié par le signe de x(n) (produit z(n). sgn Øx(n)õ. Selon la grandeur de x(n), ce produit est fourni à un accumulateur, correspondant. Les parties de somme emmagasinées dans les accumulateurs sont multiplié par la grandeur x(n) qui correspond auxdites sommes, après quoi les produits obtenus de la sorte sont additionnés.
