Abstract

L'invention a pour objet un détecteur de gaz. Il comprend un filament de chauffage 2 disposé dans une pastille. L'intérieur 3 de la pastille est formé d'un mélange homogène dans lequel est enrobé le filament et qui est formé d'un matériau catalyseur oxydant (palladium et platine) et d'un liant réfractaire (alumine). L'intérieur 3 est entouré d'une couche 4 de matériau catalyseur oxydant, qui est à son tour entouré d'une couche extérieure 14 en un matériau poreux réfractaire, susceptible d'empêcher la migration de résidus non volatils vers des parties du détecteur ayant une action catalysante. Le détecteur est branché avec un élément de compensation 7 dans un circuit en pont 5, 6 pour permettre la mesure du changement de résistance du filament 2 qui se produit à la suite d'un changement de température provoqué par l'oxydation d'un gaz combustible passant sur le détecteur.
