Abstract

A very light three wheeler vehicle powered by an electric motor or small engine, has a self supporting moulded plastics body, and has one wheel at the front and two at the rear. The drive is mounted on the front wheel fork, and drives the front wheel, which is also used for steering. The moulded body is metal reinforced at the level of the steering gear, and the sides etc. are corrugated for rigidity. Pedals are included for starting, and to assist the motor. A horizontal bar is used for steering, and carries a single control for acceleration, deceleration and braking. The front fork swings about a vertical axis for steering, being attached to permit height adjustment.
