Abstract
Solid fire-lighting material consists essentially of a (co)polyoxymethylene having a high degree of polymn. The materials is stable. non-volatile, has excellent firelighting action, low toxicity and odour, and can be stored in the proximity of foods. The material pref. also contains a finely divided, combustible filler, pref. cellulose, wood flour, and/or carbon powder. The amt. of the filler is pref. 2-90 wt. %, based on total material. The material is pref. in the form of a sheet or block, and is produced by extrusion or injection.
