Abstract

The system secures and seals a thrust piece in the piston tube of a braking device, particularly a spring-accumulator-type braking cylinder, but also compressed-air valves etc. The thrust piece (3a) is in the form of a cap or push-rod, and has a wide and flat inner grove (5), while in the piston skirt (2) is a corresponding outer grove (6), so that a sealing component (7) can be fitted in between. On insertion of the trust piece, the component is compressed against it with the aid of a ramp face (13), snapping into engagement with the inner groove. As the piece is thrust further in, the component also snaps into engagement with the outer groove, and resumes its original shape, so as to act both as a seal and as a securing device.
