Abstract

Double-walled tube e.g. for creams, has a body with an inner tube of thermoplastic resin, this tube having a funnel-shaped, outwardly widening upper section, and a thin walled, metal outer tube with a closure section, in which the upper section is embedded. The inner tube and the closure section are bonded integrally and rigidly without a joint, so that a material in the tube is protected from contacting the metal outer tube. The system protects the contents of the tube against the action of the metal of the outer tube and provides a good seal that prevents leakage of the material. It is easily produced by injection moulding the inner tube onto the outer tube.
