Abstract

The joint (J) between the existing window pane (V1) and a second pane (V2) has an inwardly facing channel to take the second pane. One face (PB) of an angle plate (EQ) is pushed into the groove in the existing frame (CH), and the horizontal face (GB), provides a support for the joint. The horizontal face has an opening (OU) for the tongue (LA) of a sprung steel plate (RE) which has a horizontal face and a face bent back at an acute angle. The sprung plate compresses the joint against the existing pane to give a weathertigt and sound proof seal.
