Abstract

The position of the rotor is detected by a magnetic field sensitive component exposed to the rotor field. It has further an electronic control component in series with the stator winding and connected to the direct voltage source, so that the stator winding is energised in accordance with the rotor position. Magnetic field sensitive component parameter changes are converted into a control signal for the control component. The control circuit has an oscillator with an LC oscillating circuit whose inductance consists of the magnetic field sensitive component in the form of a sensor coil (10) with a core. The oscillator signal is modulated by the rotor field, and the control signal for the control element (4) is derived from it. Oscilla frequency is much higher than the rotor speed.
