Abstract

The protective suit (10) is fitted with a breathing mask supplied (22) with oxygen mixture from a breathin bag (11). This bag is inside the suit for protection and located at the wearer's back. It is fed (16) with oxygen from a pressurised bottle (12) underneath, the gas flow being controlled by a stop valve (14) and pressure reducer (15). The exhaled air passes through a pipe (20) and filter (21) and into the breathin bag where it is partly mixed (17, 23) with the inhaled oxygen. The remainder is exhausted through a tube (24) and outlet (25) in the vicinity of the wearer's leg. A non-return valve (26) is fitted into the tube.
