Abstract

An aerosol can has a valve operating piece with two components. The upper component has a central cut away portion (5) which contains the aerosol valve with the atomised fluid discharge passage (9). The opposite side of this part has a space, partially occupied by a rib (12). The lower part of the assembly, which clips onto the top of the container, has a central space for the valve, and a ledge to match the rib (12) when the relative angles are correct. This prevents the aerosol from being operated unless the lid and base are in their correct relative position. The assembly is intended to fit any aerosol can.
