Abstract

The spray pump is for cosmetics and has an operating button (19) on top, with a spray hole (20) through it, which travels up and down inside a collar (3). This has a hole through its base for an ejector tube (5) with a piston (10) at the bottom. The collar is integral with an internally- threaded flange (2) which screws onto the container (1). A smaller diameter stepped portion has a flange (7) sitting against the underside of the collar, and the piston slides inside its top portion (8). A rod (14) fitting inside the piston (10) carries a smaller lower piston (11) with a ball valve (12) controlling entry into the bottom portion (9). This portion houses a spring (13) which forces the lower piston (11) upwards. Alternatively there may be a resilient conical lower piston without a ball valve.
