Abstract

The assembly allows easy engagement by a lift truck form, or crane lifting tackle, when handling in transit, and comprises two or more grips (11-14) along opposite edges at the top of the container (10). These are movable into stable positions in parallel vertical planes by means of detachable connectors (27, 28) between them, typically in the form of hinging arms. Each arm can comprise two parallel bars, snapping into engagement at the free end with a recess formed in the grip on the opposite side.
