Abstract

The pair of spectacles comprises a face carrying two lenses mounted in two closed contours or profiles (5) which are linked to each other, at adjacent sides, by one or more strips or bridges. Two articulated arms (3) are connected by hinges (6) to the face. Each hinge (6) is fixed to the front of the face (5) and on the corresponding arm (3) at least 2 points which are not apparent on the external part of the pair of spectacles. The hinge (6) acts as an embellishment due to the shape and profile selected for the lug (7) and its corresponding loop component (11). These two parts (7, 11) are sufficiently elongated to retain mechanical resistance and to eliminate excessive forces from acting on the hinge.
