Abstract

An appts. for washing inside and outside, tubes of any dia., incorporates a vessel in which the tubes stand vertically, means of filling and emptying the vessel with a washing liq. which rises and descends in it at regular intervals, and means of drying the tubes by a current of hot air. The washing and drying operations are controlled by a programmer. Ancillary appts. includes an electrically operated valve, a monstat, a pump for charging washing liq. and a pump for emptying. Appts. may be used for washing any tubes, e.g. laboratory pipettes, in the industrial field and partic. in hospitals and analytical laboratories. The appts. is simple and automatic in operation.
