Abstract
The dehydration of dielectric liquids, e.g. oils used in transformer, rheostat contactors, voltage regulators, etc., is carried out by passing the liq. through a granular zeolite mol. sieve. The zeolite is easily inserted into and withdrawn from the path of the oil, from which it removes both H2O and acids; the amt. of zeolite used can be adapted so that its effective life coincides with the service life of the oil, so that the oil and zeolite can be replaced simultaneously.
