Abstract

The wall clock (1), which is used for inside or outside of large buildings, incorporates a temperature indicator in the form of a series of elements of progressively varying colour (3, 4, 5). These may be liquid crystal elements which according to the ambient temperature reflect differently coloured light and/or provide an illumination of varying intensity. The liquid crystal elements can be positioned along a longitudinal support strip (3) with different sections (4) corresponding to the different temperature ranges. The different sections may each have numerical characters for indicating the temperature, and the support strip for the temperature indication may be arranged along the length of one of the clock hands.
