Abstract

A heating system reservoir (5) receives make up water through the economiser (1) from the water supply (3). The make up water passes through a small heat exchanger (s) at the outlet (9) of a vaporiser (7) and then through a collector (11) to a larger heat exchanger (S) before entering the reservoir. As the feed water is cold, there is no risk of vapour locking in the small heating exchanger. The fuel gas temperature is sufficiently low at the exit of the large exchanger to prevent vapour locking in that part of the make up line also. the reservoir (11) should be above the small heat exchanger.
