Abstract

The heat exchanger for a vehicle air conditioning system consists of a set of hollow plates (11) with vertical corrugations (31, 32) which form a set of narrow flow channels between them, with header chambers (12) across the top and bottom, with connecting rings (11a) at one end, each header chamber being L-shaped, with one arm across the ends of the flow chambers, the other arm incorporating the ring. These plates are assembled alternately, giving good heat interchange between them, with all the rings at the top at one side connected to form a supply line for one fluid, and at the bottom, on the same side, for discharge, and with the rings at the top at the other side connected for supply of a second fluid, and at the bottom for discharge.
