Abstract

Connector for rapidly connecting flexible tubes, mainly plastic tubes, comprises a housing with a penetrating bore with a coaxial cylindrical widening on one side, in which a sleeve is mounted using a press fit. The innermost wall surface of the sleeve directed to the interior of the tube connector is conical, and the innermost wall surface directed to the end of the tube connector is cylindrical. A cylindrical organ in this sleeve is slidable longitudinally and has a bore for inserting the piece of tube. A clamping element is arranged between the sleeve and the cylindrical element which are located coaxially w.r.t. each other. The clamping element is formed from two half shells of which the outer wall is conical and which are movable longitudinally and radially. The tube connector is mfd. with ease and economy and guarantees a faultless block for the tube which is to be connected. It can be removed if necessary from the tube connector without using tools and is for transporting compressed air, oil, water etc.
