Abstract

The pins or lugs for electrical connection is in male or female form and intended to be engaged in a holder of some plastic material such as polyamide and to be trapped in this position. Both male and female parts are formed from sheet metal and have a trapezoidal section (4) pressed partly out at an angle to form a snap-engaging piece. The trapezoid is of such proportions as to provide the flexibility required to allow engagement, sufficient strength to hold the connector (2) in position, to provide minimum interference with the current flow and contacter strength. The angle made between the trapezoid and connector may be linear, between 10 deg. and 35 deg. or varying over its length to form a curve.
