Abstract

A projection device covers the standard paper fed into the machine with a top layer of insulating or photoconductive material at a print shortly before printing takes place, so as to provide a datum support. The printing is effected electrostatically and the system allows high speed printing in the order of 10000 lines per minute. The insulating layer is used for an electrographic printing system while the photoconductive layer is used for an electrophotographic process.
