Abstract

An aerosol can with a push button (26) supported on a sleeve (24) forming part of a block (80) which is forced down against a spring (32) so that the contents (16) of the can may pass up a dip tube (30) enter a chamber (20) around the spring and block and then pass through an orifice (44) into the sleeve (24) and pass through it, then through a discharge channel inside the push button, as in the main patent, has a gap (88) between the top of the sleeve (10) around the spring and block and washer (12) which normally blocks the orifice (44) and has a small notch (82) opposite this gap, also between the sleeve and the washer. This allows any trapped substance forming the contents to leak away to avoid blocking the flow during subsequent operation.
