Abstract

Envelopes and postal packages, addressed in usual way, are pringed with a numbered grille enabling the postal code to be quickly and clearly marked. This benefits postal sorting systems using machines, reduced errors and delays. The grille (b) hs five columns (b1 to b5 vertically marked from 0 to 9, so that each square is numbered. Each row has the same five numbers, from nought to nint. Starting from the left, the numbers of the postal code can be marked in order. Conversely, all unnecessary numbers can be obscured leaving only the numbers of the required code.
