Abstract
Mfr. of diamond contg. alloys by impregnating a diamond powder (I) with a metallic binder (II) under the action of high press. and temp. comprises forming a (I) + (II) system (III) where (II) is placed in (III) so that it is outside but in contact with (I) and submitting (III) to a press of >=10 pref. 10-50 k bars to fix (I), then submitting (III) to a temp. at which (II) melts and impregnates (I).
