Abstract

A compsn. based on oxymethylene homo- or copolymer (contg. >=80% -CH2O-units) contains as lubricant 0.3-5 (0.5-1.5)wt.%, based on polymer, of an aliphatic ester derived from an (un)satd. 12-20C acid and a polyhydric alcohol chosen from (di)glycerol pentaerythritol, trimethylol. (m)ethane trimethylolpropane, ethylene glycol (E.G.) propylene glycol (P.G.) and homo- or copolymers of E.G. and P.G. having a D.P. of =15. The compsn. is used for producing bearings, journals etc. and has a low coefficient of friction (is approx. 0.18), is wear resistant and processable without having its properties affected.
