Abstract

Ink comprises (I) 100 pts. wt. of a varnish based on polymerised linseed, or a pentaerythritol or glycerine/phthalic acid polyester modified with linseed oil, or castor oil, (II) 75-125 pts. wt. phenol-formaldehyde resin opt. modified by rosin, (III) 2-15 pts. wt. >6C-atom metal salt of a carboxylic acid, (II) 5-120 pts. wt. pigments, (V) 75-175 pts. wt. org. solvent, pref. totuene, ethyl acetate or cyclohexanone and (VI) 1-20 pts. wt. polymethylspirocyclosiloxane of formula (VI): (where n is i-7). Used for printing on plastics, glass, metals, regenerated cellulose, etc. the ink has a high homogeneity and can be used for high-speed printing.
