Abstract

A double V bed falt knitting machine has a back bed with high butt needles, which moves up and vertically during a machine revolution, and front bed has high and low butts alternated. Over the back bed are a dual system of tubular yarn guides which swing on their axis, can be moved left and right and can form a warp type stitch. There are further yarn guides on the front bed which move up and down and can be moved left and right. Some of these move with the stitch blocks, some are separated. These feeders can feed a yarn in as a weft knit and also lay in a weft yarn, which is not formed into a stitch.
