Abstract

Water soluble tabletted substances, such as used in dyeing, are treated to reduce loss on handling by extruding a paste of the substance, cutting the extrusion to length, and drying the lengths. The paste concentration must permit shape retention during extrusion and drying, and extrusion pressure must not reduce the solubility of the product. Drying may be in vacuo.
