Abstract

Deaeration and compating of powders is effected in vessel with cylindrical stationary gas permeable wall, having a rotating endless screw conveyor and vacuum connection. Compacting is caused by joint effect of vaccum and mechanical handling by conveyor and by exposure to atmospheric pressure at outlet of unit. Used for compacting of powders as used in rubber, cement, dyeing industries etc. or in handling of pigments or pesticides.
