Claims (12)

1. Mäntäpolttomoottorin (10) katalysaattoriyksikkö (24), joka käsittää tulokanavan (26) ja poistokanavan (36) sekä kaasunkäsittely-yksikön (34), jossa katalysaattori- 5 osa on järjestetty tulokanavan (26) ja poistokanavan (36) väliin virtausyhteyteen tulokanavan ja poistokanavan kanssa, tunnettu siitä, että tulokanava on varustettu tulokanavan (26) päissä olevilla kahdella vastakkaisella aukolla (28) ja poisto-kanava (36) on varustettu poistokanavan (36) päissä olevilla kahdella vastakkaisella aukolla (38) ja että tulokanava (26) ja poistokanava (36) ovat keskenään sa-10 mansuuntaisia.
2. Patenttivaatimuksen 1 mukainen katalysaattoriyksikkö, tunnettu siitä, että toinen tulokanavassa ja poistokanavassa olevista kahdesta vastakkaisesta aukosta käsittää paljeyksikköjä (44,46). 15
3. Patenttivaatimuksen 1 mukainen katalysaattoriyksikkö, tunnettu siitä, että aukot on varustettu kiinnitysvälineillä (32, 42), jotka ovat keskenään yhteensopivia.
4. Jonkin edellä olevan patenttivaatimuksen 1 - 3 mukainen katalysaattoriyksikkö, 20 tunnettu siitä, että katalysaattoriosan käsittävä kaasunkäsittely-yksikkö (34) on selektiivinen katalyyttinen pelkistysyksikkö (SCR).

Ahdettu mäntäpolttomoottori (10), joka käsittää turboahdetun järjestelmän (18), jossa on vähintään kaksi erillistä turbiinivaihetta (18’,18”), ja pakokaasun käsittely- 25 järjestelmän (22), jossa on siihen järjestetty katalysaattoriosa, tunnettu siitä, että ^ pakokaasun käsittelyjärjestelmä on liitetty vähintään kahden turbiinivaiheen o cm (18’,18”) väliin ja että kaasunkäsittelyjärjestelmä käsittää vähintään kaksi jonkin i τρ patenttivaatimuksista 1 - 4 mukaista katalysaattoriyksikköä (24). Patenttivaatimuksen 6 mukainen ahdettu polttomoottori, tunnettu siitä, että pakokaasun käsittelyjärjestelmässä vähintään kaksi katalysaattoriyksikköä (24) on kytketty yhteen niiden tulokanavassa (26) olevien aukkojen (28) avulla, jolloin peräkkäiset tulokanavat muodostavat imusarjan (26’), ja niiden poistokanavassa (36) 5 olevien aukkojen (38) avulla, jolloin peräkkäiset poistokanavat muodostavat pois-tosarjan (36’).
9. Patenttivaatimuksen 5 mukainen ahdettu polttomoottori, tunnettu siitä, että tu-lokanava (26) ja poistokanava (36) on järjestetty päällekkäin, niin että tulokanava 10 (26) on pystysuoraan poistokanavan (36) akselin päällä ja että tulokanava (26) ja poistokanava (36) ovat horisontaalisesti eri asemissa.

11. Patenttivaatimuksen 8 mukainen ahdettu polttomoottori, tunnettu siitä, että imusarja (26’) ja poistosarja (36’) on kytketty ensimmäisestä päästään virtauksen- 20 säätölaitteeseen (23, 23’), jonka välityksellä ne on liitetty vähintään kahden turbii-nivaiheen väliin.
