PROCEDIMIENTO PARA EL TRATAMIENTO DE UNA RESINA DE INTERCAMBIO IONICO ORGANICA, RADIACTIVA Y AGOTADA, PARA REDUCIR EL VOLUMEN DE LA MISMA Y PARA OBTENER UN PRODUCTO FINAL ESTABLE. COMPRENDE LAS SIGUIENTES OPERACIONES: PRIMERA, SE MEZCLA LA RESINA DE INTERCAMBIO IONICO CON UNA SAL, PARA LIBERAR SUSTANCIAS RADIACTIVAS DE DICHA RESINA DE INTERCAMBIO IONICO; SEGUNDA, SE AÑADE A LA MEZCLA UN SORBENTE INORGANICO PARA ABSORBER LAS SUSTANCIAS RADIACTIVAS LIBERADAS; Y POR ULTIMO, SE SECA E INCINERA LA MEZCLA FORMADA Y A CONTINUACION SE SOLIDIFICA EN CEMENTO EL RESIDUO DE LA INCINERACION. DE APLICACION EN EL TRATAMIENTO DE RESINAS DE INTERCAMBIO IONICO QUE HAN SIDO UTILIZADAS EN LA PURIFICACION DEL AGUA DE REFRIGERACION EN REACTORES.
