CONSISTE EN VAPORIZAR SELECTIVAMENTE, PONIENDO EN CONTACTO LA MATERIA PRIMA CON UN MATERIAL DE CONTACTO SOLIDO, SUSTANCIALMENTE INERTE Y FINAMENTE DIVIDIDO, EN CONDICIONES DE RIGUROSIDAD DE CRAQUEO BAJAS, EN UNA COLUMNA RESTRINGIDA ASCENDENTE; Y EN SEPARAR PRODUCTOS EN FORMA DE VAPOR DE DICHA PUESTA EN CONTACTO.
