Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare tyrosine efficiently, by transforming a bacterium belonging to the genus Corynebacterium or Brevibacterium by the use of a recombined DNA of a DNA fragment containing gene participating in formation of tyrosine and vector DNA, cultivating the transformed strain. CONSTITUTION:Recombined DNA is formed from a DNA fragment containing gene participating in formation of tyrosine, derived from a bacterium belonging to the genus Escherichia, Corynebacterium or Brevibacterium, etc. and autonomically replicable vector DNA derived from a bacterium belonging to the genus Corynebacterium or Brevibacterium. A host mold selected from a bacterium belonging to the genus Corynebacterium or Brevibacterium is transformed by the use of this recombined DNA to give a transformed strain. The strain is cultivated in a liquid medium, to give tyrosine.
