Abstract

Bulletproof anorak consists of a textile outside surface which is fitted with an integral or detachable lining of puncture-curbing material. This material consists of a multi-layer lining of aramide fibre tissue which is covered on the inside by a neutral fabric. If the bulletproof lining is detachable, it is joined to the outside of the anorak by a sliding clasp fastener. To provide safety against guns of category III, plates of armour plating or ceramics can be sewn into the aramide fibre lining. Pref. there is an elastic layer of plastics foils or foamed polymer on the near side of the aramide layers. This anorak can be worn by people during undercover shadowing operations of criminals and terrorists without risk of being spotted.
