Abstract

1. Machine for packaging substantially cylindrically shaped objects in sheets each cut out along a closed, preferably circular contour, from a web (85) of a supple packaging materila, comprising a fixed packaging head (25) and a mobile packaging head (22) in the form of two rings of common axis, capable of gripping therebetween a packaging sheat when the mobile head (22) is brought against the fixed head (25), and of which the central openings (26, 27) are coaxial, at least one bush (29, 30) disposed the line the central opening (26) of the fixed packaging head (25) and connected to that face of the latter which is not turned towards the mobile packaging head (22), a mobile pusher (80) making it possible to push an object to be packaged and the sheet on which it has been disposed, inside the bush (29, 30) up to a bearing plate (52) perpendicular to the axis of the bush (29, 30), a diaphragm device (51) making it possible, by partial obturation of the bush (29, 30), to fold the packaging sheet down on one of the faces of the object resting on the bearing plate (52), a sealing member (82) being introduced into the bush (29, 30) and applied, through the diaphragm (51), on the part of the packaging sheet folded on the object which rests against the bearing plate (52), after withdrawal of the mobile pusher (80) from the bush (29, 30), characterized in that it also comprises, on the one hand, for gripping the web (85) of supple packaging material, a fixed plate (1) presenting a central opening (2) of which the shape corresponds to that of the contour of the sheets, and of which the section is slightly greater than that of the sheets to be cut out, as well as a mobile presser plate (5), parallel to the fixed plate (1) and presenting on its face opposite the latter a groove (14) having the form of the contour of the sheets and corning opposite the central opening (2) of the fixed plate (1) when the presser plate (5) is applied against the latter, the presser plate (5) also presenting a central opening (13) inside the groove (14) allowing the passage of the mobile packaging head (22) and, on the other hand, for cutting out a sheet from a web (85) pressed between the fixed plate (1) and the presser plate (5), a system (31, 39) mobile along the contour of the sheets about the fixed packaging head (25) projecting inside the central opening (2) of the fixed plate (1) and a cutting tool (46), borne by the mobile system (31, 39) and movable in a direction perpendicular to the fixed and presser plates (1 and 5) respectively, between a cut-out position, in which the tool (46) traverses the central opening (2) of the fixed plate (1) and is engaged in the groove (14) of the presser plate (5), and a rest position in which the tool (46) is at least disengaged from the groove (14) of the presser plate (5).
