Abstract

A domestic gas oven has first and second oven compartments (1, 2) which are disposed one above the other. In the upper part of the lower compartment (2) is a burner assembly (6, 8), with openings in the dividing wall (5) which separates the two compartments (1, 2) from each other, for circulating the hot gases from the burner assembly through the upper compartment (1). A thermal insulation layer (12) is disposed completely around the two compartments (1, 2), with cooling air (11) circulating around the outside of the layer (12).
