Abstract
Método para la elaboración sucesiva de gas de hornos de coque, caracterizado porque siendo el gas de horno de coque caliente que procede de la batería de los hornos, sometido directamente, es decir, sin refrigeración, a la oxidación parcial con ayuda de oxígeno, aire enriquecido con oxígeno o de otras mezclas de gas que contengan oxígeno, desdoblándose y transformándose en un gas de desdoblamiento rico en monóxido carbónico y en hidrógeno, sobre todo para el empleo como gas reductor en un horno de cuba para la reducción directa de mineral de hierro, el gas del horno de coque, antes de la oxidación parcial o bien el gas de desdoblamiento, después de la oxidación parcial, se desulfura en caliente.
