Abstract
The computer for the electronic taximeter is combined with a read/write memory into which new or charged tariff data can be inputted by a peripheral input unit. The taximeter may have a read/write memory with low power consumption which is connected to a logic system. This logic system exchanges data by means of an external device, the parameters defining the new tariff being inputted into the external device. The read/write memory may be supplied from a relatively low power battery, in which case a voltage regulator is provided. The external device is a programmer and new data is input into the taximeter instantaneously.
