Abstract
Mejoras en los dispositivos para medir las propiedades de las fibras ópticas caracterizadas por un dispositivo para la medida de las propiedades ópticas de una fibra óptica a medida de que la fibra va siendo obtenida por estirado de una preforma o de un equipo de fusión y arrollada en un carrete, teniéndose el extremo de la fibra sacado a lo largo del eje del carrete e incluyendo el dispositivo un láser dispuesto a modo que emita unos impulsos de luz al interior de la fibra a través de la preforma o del material fundido, un fotodetector montado en el carrete contiguo al extremo de la fibra y ópticamente acoplado a dicho extremo por medio de un filtro de paso banda cuya banda de paso se corresponde con la salida del láser y un medio estacionario, acoplado por una conexión eléctrica giratoria a la salida del fotodetector, para determinar el tiempo de tránsito y la dispersión de los impulsos luminosos transmitidos a lo largo de la fibra.
