Abstract

Procedimiento para preparar nuevos ácidos 15-deoxi-16-hidroxi-16- sustituido-protanóicos y sus congéneres, así como para la producción de compuestos intermedios para su preparación. Los nuevos compuestos de esta invención abarcan a los antípodas ópticos, mezclas racémicas y mezclas diastereométricas correspondientes a la siguiente fórmula general, cuya configuración absoluta es la de prostaglandinas naturales de mamíferos. Los compuestos obtenidos por esta invención se pueden representar por la siguiente fórmula general y su imagen de espejo: **(Fórmula)** o una mezcla racémica de dicha fórmula y la imagen de espejo de la misma.
