Abstract
Procedimiento de recuperación de molibdeno, mediante tratamiento de catalizadores usados a base de alúmina activada que contienen uno o varios compuestos de molibdeno, y en general, uno o varios compuestos metálicos, con vista a recuperar el molibdeno en forma de compuesto sustancialmente exento de aluminio, caracterizado porque después de haber eliminado, si ello es necesario, el carbono, los hidrocarburos y una parte del azufre, estos catalizadores usados se someten a tratamiento con carbonato de sosa a una temperatura comprendida entre 600 y 800ºC, y después se lavan con agua, y porque a la solución alcalina así obtenida se adiciona progresivamente una cantidad de ácido nítrico comprendida entre 1,5 y 2,5 veces la que seria necesaria para alcanzar un pH comprendido entre 5 y 6, manteniendo a la vez la temperatura por debajo de 30ºC, y porque la solución así acidificada se hidroliza a temperatura próxima de la ebullición, a continuación enjuagando y secando el hidrato de Mo así precipitado.
