Abstract
Procedimiento de visualización de basófilos, en particular para su numeración y, más particularmente, de los que no han sufrido desgranulación y, en caso necesario, de los otros leucocitos contenidos en una muestra de un medio biológico, particularmente una muestra de sangre, caracterizado por el tratamiento directo de esta muestra, preferentemente en una sola etapa, con un reactivo acuoso hipotónico que contiene un agente metacromático, un fijador de los leucocitos y de los basófilos, un ácido apto para contribuir a la destrucción causada, por lo menos en parte, por el agua contenida en el reactivo, de los eritrocitos de la muestra de sangre, estando este ácido presente en el reactivo en proporciones tales que el pH final de la mezcla muestra-reactivo esté comprendido entre aproximadamente 3 y aproximadamente 5.
