A telecommunication network for a digital exchange of telephones, teleprinters and data information between different connections for analog and digital transmission that includes, at least, the following circuits; multiplex (T) terminals for the conversion of analog signals into digital, and to collect a certain number of lines on the same number of channels of a line operating in time division multiplex (TDM line) and vice versa for the other direction; multiplex register units (WE) for receiving, processing and transmitting the information from the disk to a control device and applying said information to switching circuits under the control of the aforementioned device; switching units (DE) for the interconnection of channels connected to TDM lines; and a central processor (ZSW), characterized in that there are different multiple terminals, multiplex registration units and switching units, each one forming a circuit block and that the transmission of information between individual blocks is carried out through of lines of uniform type and operating as a multiplex by digital time division.
