Abstract

An electrical transformer including a magnetic core structure having at least two spaced apart windows extending between predetermined first and second opposed surfaces of the magnetic core structure, to define at least one arm portion having a plurality of coils electrical therein, the coils extending outward from the surfaces of the structure, first and second magnetic means disposed between the arm portions and the electrical coils at said predetermined opposite surfaces of the structure, respectively, the magnetic means comprising stacked metal plates, insulated with each other with insulating means for forming bundles or bundles of sheets arranged in such a way that each sheet extends between the arm portion and the electrical reels, to support the electric reels in relation to the structure and to provide a path of low leakage for the magnetic flux, and additional bundles of metal sheets, in which some of the bundles of sheets are arranged perpendicularly to the plane of the first surface of the core structure and join the ends of the first joint magnetic means of tongue and groove and some of said additional bundles of sheets disposed perpendicularly to the plane of the second surface of the core structure and joining the ends of the second magnetic means with tongue-and-groove joints.
