Abstract

Procedimiento para la unión a tope de los extremos de una banda laminada flexible (W) destinada a envasado de productos, que tiene, como mínimo, la cara destinada a quedar dispuesta dentro del envase, que tiene características de sellado en caliente, siendo desenrollada dicha banda (W) de un carrete principal (10) cortado longitudinalmente en tiras (W1, W2) y bobinada de nuevo en rollos o carretes (20), comprendiendo el procedimiento las etapas que consisten en: - superponer el borde extremo o de cola (L1) de un carrete principal terminado sobre el borde delantero (L2) de un nuevo carrete principal; - realizar un corte transversal a través de la banda a lo largo de la línea (R) en la que se superponen los dos bordes (L1) y (L2); y - eliminar los extremos (E1, E2) que han sido recortados de los bordes (L1, L2), de manera tal que los bordes quedan unidos entre sí, caracterizado porque el procedimiento comprende además otras etapas que consisten en: - aplicar a lo largo de dicha línea de corte (R) y dicha cara de sellado en caliente de la banda (W) una tira (S) de material con características de sellado en caliente, por lo menos en la cara del mismo dirigida a la banda (W), comprendiendo dicha tira una capa de material barrera, - efectuar el sellado en caliente de la tira de sellado en caliente (S) a la cara de sellado en caliente de la banda (W).
